The search for the 30-year-old Haynes is heating up across the District on Thursday morning after police say he escaped from the hospital in the 900 block of 23rd Street NW shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Following his escape, a spokesperson for the Secret Service said that the agency joined the search and temporarily precautions were taken around the White House.

Haynes' escape comes amid an extensive manhunt for Danelo Cavalcante in Pennsylvania, who scaled the walls of Chester County Prison on Thursday, Aug. 31.

Haynes was described as being 6-foot weighing approximately 205 pounds with a medium brown complexion and shoulder-length dreadlocks. He was last seen with black handcuffs hanging from his right wrist, possibly wearing a black t-shirt and gray shorts.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for anyone who can help locate him. Police did not provide details in the crime he was originally charged with.

Anyone with information regarding Haynes or his whereabouts has been instructed to call the department at (202) 727-9099 or by sending a message to the department's text tip line at 50411.
